Another Way of Supporting Melton Mencap
The Work that your Donations Fund
Local authorities and charities fund services to children, but once people become adults, those sources of
funding become sparse.
For people with Learning Disabilities, the need for socialisation does not disappear once they become of age.
Our services to adults are dependent on charitable donations and so the need continues from young
adulthood for the rest of adult life.
We are grateful then for donations and for legacies to fund this work.
It is important that legacies should state the words “Melton Mencap” if you wish to support this local charity.
The word “Mencap” alone supports the National Charity.
Along with many other charities, the support by donations is particularly welcome and important due
to a loss of income caused by COVID-19.
